The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot allow eligible caregivers and their family members to apply for permanent residence. To qualify, caregivers must have 24 months of relevant Canadian work experience within the past 36 months. Caregivers must also meet the minimum language skills requirement of Canadian Level Benchmark 5 in each category (writing, reading, listening, and speaking). Caregivers must also have a one-year Canadian post-secondary education credential or its equivalent to be eligible. No LMIA is required.
